A thing to remember about University is you are here to learn how to learn not to learn just what is put on the desk in front of you.

A discussion with George musing about many things while contemplating engineering, religion, people - life in general.

I would consider George a friend above anything else. My condolences to Freda and family.

George will very much be missed. He had a wonderful sense of humour, a gentle manner, and was always ready with a kind word of appreciation.
Rest in peace.

Sweet repose my dear friend.

Dear Freda, Elsie, John, Nieva, Michael, Paul, Heards, nieces, nephews and all who lived with and loved George,
Freda and George welcomed us at our first landing in a small, but great, and beautiful New Zealand. Since then, we've stayed together for next 14 years working and lived together at The University of Auckland and all around the places in Auckland and Waiheke island. Their home was ours too and it was warm and friendly place to stay. The passion George showed in everything he was doing just made you enjoy it. George was an amazing man and Ana and I will miss him dearly. All of us have lost someone special.
Our deepest condolences to Freda, family and friends. Please know that we are with you in these hours of horribly sad loss and that we'll always keep him in our hearts - Ana & Vojo

Hi, It is sad to hear of the passing of George Blanchard. He was a good man, a very down to earth person, who always made you feel welcome and valued. He taught me in my undergraduate papers and I also took his Advanced Control paper at the start of my PhD studies. Rest in peace, George. My condolences to the Blanchard family.
