Dear Lorna
My deepest sympathy to you, Tere, Aroha and your families, Mihi and Ben.
My memories go back almost 50 years when I first met Goerge on a trip he made to Kaipara College with his rugby team from Otara College. The next year I joined the Otara staff and made a wonderful and lifelong friend when I met you. I watched as a special friendship developed with you and George while you both taught PE so enthusiastically to your students. I was thrilled when you later married as you were such a great couple. I've loved my many visits to your home and always enjoyed great hospitality from George. He had such a lovely and welcoming smile.
I know you are already missing George terribly but you do have such wonderful memories. Ben, you have been blessed with a Grandad who took such and interest in your life. You are richer for all the time you spent with him.
Lots of love to you all.

Dear Lorna, Mihi and family.
Des and I are sorry to hear of George's passing. I enjoyed catching up with him for a friendly chat when he was out on his bike. A caring, friendly man. A loss to the Ramarama community.
Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
