Geoffrey DYER Obituary

Geoff, I'm reading this with a heavy heart... its over a year now and I've just heard of your passing. I know no one else will read this, but hopefully the message will get to you... you were a big part of my life in the formative years and often I have thought of you and what your life might be like now. We busted up over a girl... but she turned out to worth it I'm sure, and I'm very sad to hear of your early passing. We had some good times and I think some of the best times in my life. So long my friend.

It's been so long, but I'll never forget our weekly pool games and sneaking out the front, giggling like drunk teenagers. You made those years so much fun! We were young and free. My heart is sad. I hope you're free wherever you are now buddy. Jax x

I lost a good friend, we had been the best of friends for 10 years or more and although we went our own ways after a stupid fight many years ago over something bloody silly he was still important to me.
I shared some of the best times with Geoff and we shared some incredible experiences, my life would not be what it is with out the stories I can tell of my time spent with him and the other great friends I had. I am sorry to hear that he is gone and even more sorry that I can never tell him what his friendship meant to me. I hope you find the peace you were seeking.

Hey Geoff, I knew you through Damian and Dale and remember the tales of the 3 of you when you were younger. You will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved you and will never be forgotten.

I met you through your awesome cousin tanz who absolutely adores you, you partied with us and were always smiling and happy to get to know everyone new around you. I remember on my birthday i bought fake tattoos to wear to the beerfest and you didnt hesitate to try and make a tattoo sleeve with tiger and dragon pictures with us...if only the damn things stuck haha. Thankful that tanz introduced you to all the girls...rest easy x

Well I don't have very many fond memories of our school days but those I do have you are always in them, well you and that awful ET toy you had, you used to get me into so much trouble in class, you the clown, and me the giggler, a combination the teachers hated. Hey Geoff,

I haven't seen you in 20 years but I still have the photos of you with peroxide blonde hair! Memories of playing Majong in the computer shop where Darcy worked. You Darcy and Trev walking under the harbour bridge to town....and getting caught. Lots of memories and smiles. I hope you have found your peace now.

Hearing the news yesterday brought sadness that a friend who I rarely see has passed on to the next world. This was unexpected. Be at peace Geoff - RIP bro, Kev

Its Dames here bro , Iv got a huge whole in my chest right where my heart should be .You were a huge part of my life that i know ill never be able to replace . You were like the brother i never had and i sure wish you were here now bro. I'm sorry i didn't see this coming and wasn't there at the time you most needed it , that ill regret for ever. Loved nephew of Jenny Davis (Te Aroha) and Andrew Dyer (London). We didn't see you a lot but you will always be remembered for your great affinity with animals, strongly held beliefs and amazing bond with Lynda. So pleased we had you with us last Christmas, a happy time to remember with family.
