Dear Father Broad, It feeels like only yesterday (40 years ago) that I was a little girl at St. Annes School in Newtown where I first met you. You came to our house and did jigsaw puzzles with my family and we spent many evenings together. I spent time with you at the Naval Base when I was finding my way in life (I was then 18years old) - that too seemed like yesterday. You called me your 'Blossom' and even when I bumped into you last year at a friend's funeral, you remembered me as Blossom. My regret now is that I didn't know you were ill and I would have loved to have come to visit and spend time with you - sorry I wasn't there for you like you were for me many years ago. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Lots of love, Tamara Saiger #Blossom# xxxx

Fr Geoff,
Thank you for everything you did for my family and I. From, baptising me at aged 8 (I was one, if not your first at SFDS in your presence) to doing Poppa's funeral it was your down to earth nature that makes it impossible to forget you. (and of course for giving me that toilet roll to put in the ladies toilet at Poppas funeral ;-) ) . You will always be greatly missed but never forgotten and you are in a much better place now.I will never forget you coming to find me to say hello with that great big smile of yours and always asking about and of me. There will never be another priest like you, you were simply the best, your family must be so proud. Fr Geoff, you will forever be in my thoughts, there were so many great memories. Thank you for being the person you were. You were such a humble person and to say you were a gentle giant really does sum you up perfectly. I just wished I got to see you again after leaving Island Bay 4 years ago because we would always talk and after that baptism we were like mates. Thank you for coming into my life, you will now forever be part of it. Gone but never forgotten. Rest In Peace.

Father Geoff, Thanks so much for helping me become a catholic. You were very patient, answering all my questions and giving me time to reflect on your answers. I enjoyed our chats and will always remember them. Thanks also for all your hard work in the Khandallah parish and at St Benedicts. You were always such a gentle giant.
