Genevieve -you were such a breath of fresh air- I used to enjoy both being interviewed and being a paediatrician for Jamie and our conversations.- such sparkle and intelligence and great fun to be around. You set alight some of the more staid journalism habits too. your family will miss you dearly. Simon Rowley

Dear Genevieve,
I was honored to see you, talk to and hold your hand in your last few days. Please know your love, compassion and sheer determination will never be forgotten. There will never be a day go by that I won't miss you. You touched the hearts of everyone you met and it was a privilege to have been part of your life. Rest in Peace my dear friend xx

You once said 'all the stars wear the best shoes'. Shine on twinkle toes. May your star light up the heavens as you did for so many here on earth.
With so much aroha.

I feel privileged to have known you back in the early days of TV3 - what a stunning and inspirational woman and role model. So full of life and laughter and verve, and you made everyone feel valued - even those of us behind the scenes. I will keep hold of lovely memories and raise a glass today to you after your funeral (sorry I won't be there in person, but I'll be watching online - how apt!). xx

Dear Genevieve, I can't believe you have been taken just like that. It was a bubble full of bubbly when you came to work at Massey University. Always, positive, funny, smiling and full of character - you were just very special. My favourite line from you was when we were having any events we wanted to invite you to (or coffee), you would always say "Yeah, but are there any 'snacks'? - If there are then I'll be there". RIP, sorry I can't make your funeral. My condolences to your Son and family whom you adored and spoke often of.
