So very sorry to hear the news of Gavin's passing.We have Such happy memories of him as a wonderful host who took the time to chat with us.....and what a wonderful humour!wElobed his Port too!

Dear Pog, and Family - I was the Manager next door, in the Pizza Shop, and I remember the first day you both opened the wonderful Lai Thai Restaurant - our Prayers, and thoughts to you and your Family - I remember Gavin hopping between tables, talking to all the customers, and you and your Family running a very busy, but tiny Kitchen. Lots of Love, the Cottrell's.

Great memories of nights and fun shared at the restaurant. Gavin was a wonderful host and always remembered you and treated everyone as family. Our sincere condolences to Pog and the family. Gavin was always the consummate host .many enjoyable evenings have been spent at the restaurant.courteous .gracious always a gentleman.Sincere sympathy to Pog and family .

I only met Gavin briefly, but in just that short time his charm and humour struck me instantly.
If you measure a man by the type of people his children and grandchildren turn out to be - then Gavin rates amongst the highest company.
My deepest condolences to all his extended family who gathered recently in New Plymouth, and his many other friends.
