Earlier today

Was always a pleasure to visit Gary in his Nelson restaurant where every visit had to take him to task over the enormous notice board he had in the dining room.

He referred to it as his 'clutter board' of which it was but he was very proud of all the community notices he covered it with.

A lovely kind generous man with a great smile who will be sadly missed by his family and all those who were lucky enough to have enjoyed his company.

I have so many great memories of Gary. Be it him trying to score a walk on / cameo role in our Youtube videos, keeping a keen eye on our backyard cricket matches or simply trying to get Patsy to move out of the way of the TV from his La-Z-Boy, Gary was a true legend.

The sound of his voice and laugh we're unmistakable and heard often during my many visits to their home in Nelson. All of my / our love to Rosanne, Paul, Guy and Maria.

Much loved only nephew of the late Nola James. Loved cousin of Bevan, Cheryl and Denise. We were so privileged to spend an afternoon in April when he came to our Mum's passing in Dunedin - "his only Auntie" he would often say. Lots of childhood memories before he ran off to create all his adult adventures in Bermuda. Sooooo many stories he could tell. Our love to the family
