Gary ROSS Obituary

ROSS, Gary Dale. Passed away peacefully on 28 February 2026, aged 83 years. Treasured father of Sharon Thompson, and Christine Korff, and father-in-law to Ed Thompson, and David Korff. Adored grandfather of James, Rebekah, Samuel, Luke and their partners. Devoted partner of Val. Cherished special dad to Olivia-May. Beloved former husband of Judy. Dad was known for his love of family, great storytelling and sport. He will be dearly missed by us all. A funeral service will be held at Manukau Memorial Gardens Chapel, 361 Puhinui Rd, Wiri on Friday 6 March at 11am.

Earlier today

ROSS, Gary Dale. Loving partner of Valarie Subritzky for 35 years. With a heavy heart, I've lost my love, my soul mate, my best friend and quiz opponent. Gary slipped away last Saturday to begin a new journey. He was much loved by my three sons and families; Tony and Kylie, Mark and Edwina, Brett and Nicole, and the grandies Elliott, Sheridan, Jessica, Danielle, Ava, Ben, Lily, Hudson, Everly, Cooper, Abel, and Elsie, affectionately known as Poppi. The days will not be the same, he is already sadly missed, au revoir my darling.
