Gary O'Keefe Obituary

O'KEEFE, Gary John. Passed away on 20 February 2011 peacefully at home after a courageous battle, surrounded by his family. Loving father to Sharon and Marco, loving friend and husband to Sue, and good mate to Sharon's partner Mark Patchett. Excited future poppa to 'mini patch and doting master to Sam. You loved us so much, you struggled and fought not to leave us but in the end it was not to be. You will remain in our memories and hearts forever. A service to celebrate Garys life will be held at Te Rapa Racecourse, Hamilton on Thursday, 24 February 2011 at 2:00pm followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to the Cancer Society-Waikato Bay of Plenty Relay for Life. (Please reference Gary O'Keefe), PO Box 134, Hamilton 3240 or may be left at the service. O'KEEFE, Gary John. Passed away on 20 February 2011. Dearly loved only son of Tui and Aldon and much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend of Karen, Kevin, Matt and Emma Bain; Judy and Mike, Jess, Jack and Rachael Chapman; Sue and Dave, Henry, James and Ruby Ranstead. Best workmate of Al. Best friend of Tui. Gary your strength and optimism was incredible. You never gave up. And we will love and miss you forever. Our very grateful thanks to Waikato Hospital, Hospice, and Nova Health.
