Gary LAWLESS Obituary

LAWLESS, Gary Denis. In his 92nd year. Passed away peacefully at his beloved Whangamata to the sound of the surf on the afternoon of the 31st December 2022. Dearly loved husband of the late Sue, father and father-in-law of Jody and James, Justin and Sandra, Kate and Robin, Cam and Magdalene, grandfather of Hannah and Nick, Tom and Simone, Lily, Michael, Raphaela, and William, great grandfather of Mia, Noah, Elijah, and Margot. The service to celebrate Gary's life will be held at the All Saints Chapel of Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at 2pm . Fair winds and following seas, shipmate. We have the watch.

To Jody, Justin, Kate and Cam. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful dad. Somehow we always expect them to last forever but he will certainly be forever in our hearts and thoughts.
Alistair always spoke very highly of Gary and learnt a lot from his wise words. He was such a gentleman and interesting to talk to.
