I am in Oman and this is a shock to me.Gary was the only person I ever saw who could catch a fly between his thumb and first finger! Giles'y was a man of lightening fast reflexes and a great eye.I have often pondered how great this guy really could have been as a Batsman? To bat at the other end was to regularly see him conjure up shots that the rest of us could only dream of. I am sorry that I was unable to be with family and friends at what would have been a great tribute to a wonderful, fun loving "Kiwi Guy". To all our cricketing mates: Gary's passing has given me time to reflect on some of the great times, we all shared, both on and off the field. Haere ra my friend. Emoe emoe emoe. Arohanui. Woonie
