ELSOM, Gary Allan. On August 18, 2022, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by family, aged 73 years. Dearly loved husband of Maureen for 50 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Clint and Shannan, and Kylie, loved 'Gazza' of Tabitha, and Rafe, and loved by his 'grand-cats' Brian and the late Bruce. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Wendy (deceased), Fraser and Jill, Vicki and Carole, and Grant, and much loved by his wider family and good mates. Special thanks to the staff at ICU, and at Wards 23, 24, and 25 Christchurch Hospital, for their amazing care of Gary. A Celebration of Gary's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch, on Thursday, August 25, at 2.00pm, private cremation thereafter.

We are unbelievably sad to hear that Gary has passed.
You will have many wonderful memories which we hope will help in the time ahead. We always enjoyed catching up with you both when we were in Christchurch with great conversations about sailing.

Sad to hear Gary has passed away. I worked with him at Davis Gelatine in the late 1960's. He drove an old hearse and used to take the office staff in it to South Brighton Beach for a swim and to tennis in the lunch hour. His Dad owned cashmere TV in Waltham road where i worked after school at Gordon Kinzett hairdressers next door. I bumped into him along life's highway from time to time and we always had a laugh. Sincere thoughts are with you all.
