O'BRIEN, Garry John. Peacefully (surrounded by his loving family) at Waikato Hospital, on 6 April, 2015; aged 61 years. Much loved Dad of his four beautiful daughters and cherished Granddad of Ella. Much loved friend of Jude and David, and Colleen and their families. Loved brother of Leane and Steve, Grant, Bronwyn and John, Peter and Brenda, Michael and Pauline, and much loved by all his nephews and nieces. Esteemed friend of the Gerritsen family. 'Free of pain and now in the presence of his Lord'. A celebration of Garry's life will be held at the Elim Church, (the Church by the wharf) Jellicoe Street, Thames, on Saturday 11th April at 11am, followed by private cremation.
