Fredrick SMITH Obituary

Smith, Fredrick Walton (Fred). With much sadness, we announce the passing of Fred, a very dear friend of Kevin and Jeanette. A constant running companion for Kevin over many years and will be deeply missed. At peace now and smiling down on us all. We will share a last toast to you on Wednesday at the Owairaka Running Club rooms.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Such a shock to hear the news about Fred for he looked so fit (and young!) when we met up at the Alexandra Park monthly distance runner's catch ups. Always smiling and always with a kind word. Condolences to Jenny and family. My apologies for Wednesday as I am currently in New York. Bruce Jones

We met Fred many years ago when we first came up to Auckland to live and Bruce joined the Owairaka Harrier Club. He became a good friend, and we had some great times. He met Jenny who was also a member of the club, and later on we celebrated at their wedding. Over the years we had lost touch and was so sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts are with Jenny and family at this sad time.
