SERVICE, Fredrick William (Fred). NZ Army 648033 203906 World War II Japan and Korean War. Passed away peacefully April 21, 2021 at Papamoa MetlifeCare. Eldest son of Bill and Mona. Loved brother of Thomas, Monica and Bernice (deceased) and Kaye. Brother-in-law of Murray. Loved and respected uncle to Dean, Paul, Aaron and Rachel and his many nieces and nephews. "Ka hinga te totara o te wao nui a Tane". (A totara tree has fallen in the great forest of Tane.) Rest in Peace.

Rest in Peace, cousin Fred. You made your Dad and Mum so proud of you in your military services. You showed wonderful interest in your siblings - Tom, Monica, Bernice and Kaye and your nieces and nephews. You were a good Dad to Peter, Ross, Leanne and Nicola. I remember you working at Country Wide in Queen Street City. You drove my mum and me to New Plymouth when I was a little lad. And you attended my sister's funeral in Mt Maunganui. Thank you for showing wonderful attributes. I pray that Aunty Betty will be taken good care of.
