Before the Waikato's Hospital became so huge Fred was responsible for
The Christmas Tree on top of one of the buildings. We always referred to the lights as Fred's lights viewed across from Alison street.
Long may we think of him as our shining light.

Remembered as a lovely, gentle and gracious man when he was an employee of Waikato Hospital as was I. Fondly remembered, Lynne Bowden, Operating Theatres at the time.
