Frederick STONE Obituary

STONE, Frederick Kilner. Husband of Florence (deceased 2014), passed away at the age of 96 years on 14 July, peacefully after a short illness. Fred was the beloved father of David, Cathy, Robert, Richard (deceased 1989), Mary Louise and Carolyn. He is survived by thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Resident of Selwyn Village, Point Chevalier, Auckland since 2011. His memorial service will take place in the church there at 12pm Monday 21 July. Interment will be after the service and refreshments at Schnapper Rock cemetery, North Shore. Aroha Funerals 0800 276 420

One of my fondest memories of Fred was when he repaired my rhino soap stone statue (that I had brought over from South Africa) to a pristine condition. He gave it to me with such a satisfying smile... I was so proud and happy of what Fred had done for me.
