Dear Christine,
I just heard of Deano's passing. I'm so sorry. Deano was a special man, and I will always remember his kindness and the way he cared for all of us. We all felt that he was there just for us, and I know that everyone in the International Department had an enormous amount of time and respect for him. It was good to catch up with him, and with your news, when I was on bus duty, too.
All my sympathy, Christine, to you and the family. I know you'll all miss him terribly. I'm sorry I didn't know before the funeral; I would have liked to pay my respects, but you are in my thoughts now, with much love.

Rest easy Dean.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all on the loss of a very special man. I will always remember Deano for the selfless service he gave to all at Tauranga Girls College in his years as caretaker and his personal support of me as Principal. So many staff and students will also have fond memories built on his positive interactions with them.
