WHITING, Frank Frederick. Ret. Major RNZA; Sub Lt RNZNVR WWII. On 16 September 2016 at Patrick Ferry House (Auckland), aged 101 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Stella (for 29 years) and the late Audrey (for 34 years). Loved brother of the late D'Arcy and Mollie. Loving father of Roger and Stella, the late David and the late Lusia. Much loved grandfather of Stefan and Rebecca, Lisa and Shane and Cherry. Loving great grandfather of Rhiannon, Declan, Angus, D'Arcy, Caitlin, Emily, Samuel and Hannah-Kate. A private family service has been held at Frank's request. A true gentleman at rest. We have only found out of your passing today Frank. We will miss you as you were often in our thoughts. You have been a dear friend and I enjoyed visiting you. You were always interested in what our family were doing, just like my Dad was. You will always be in our hearts.

WHITING, Frank Frederick. Born September 13, 1915. Passed away September 16, 2016. Uncle Frank, older brother of D'Arcy, slipped away quietly last Friday, after having just celebrated his 101st birthday. He will be greatly missed by the Whiting family, Mollie, Penny, Tony and Marg, Grant and Pamela, Debbie and Jim, Carl and Erin, Katie and Marcel, Robin, Aimie and Russell, Logan and Gracey. An inspiration to us all, we loved having him as our patriarch, he will always be in our thoughts.
