Evelyn Gilliand Obituary
Evelyn I. Negri Gilliand, 82, of Trafford, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in UPMC Shadyside. She was born April 16, 1925, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Raffaele and Emanuella Bucchichio Negri. Evelyn was a very active member of Christian Life Church, Trafford, and she liked to bowl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Gilliand; three brothers, Tony, Michael and Andrew Negri; and three sisters, Josephine Martuch, Louise Trabucco and Filamena "Fanny" Negri. Evelyn is survived by her children, James R. Gilliand and wife, Sherry, of Richland, Wash., Cissy Habura and husband, Mike, of Irwin, Reva Holby and husband, Russell, of Trafford, and Robert J. Gilliand and wife, Wendy, of Irwin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cyndi Schwer, Jimmy and Jeffery Gilliand, Michael and Chris Habura, Jason Holby, Tabatha Spangler, Jordan and Madison Gilliand; 10 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Danny, John and Eugene Negri, all of Altoona, and Theresa Hughes, of Williamsburg Pa. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 602 Seventh St. (Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. Additional visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, the time of the funeral service, in Christian Life Church, Seventh Street Extension, Trafford, with her pastor, the Rev. Gary P. Simpson, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland-Lincoln Memorial Park, Monroeville.
