My teacher in 1986( Form2). He really cared for his students. He would oftern come out into the school grounds and just talk to us. Very sad to hear about his passing. Out of all the teachers I have had, he was one of the best.

Very sad to hear of Francis passing. I remember our times spent with family at the gatherings in Hamilton & Waihi. Visiting your Mum & Dad at the hospital dairy & later in their home up that terrible drive. I last visited Francis at his villa in Sommerset village & had a great catch-up. Will miss the big smile & his cheery greeting of `hi coz“. My thoughts are with you Lisa & Dean and extended family.

It was a pleasure working with Francis organising the Hamilton Training College reunions and his good company over the lunches out. He was always so capable in all that he did.

RIP Francis. Loving condolences to Lisa & Dean. Francis had a big heart that he shared with anyone, without expecting anything in return. As honest as the day is long. Apart from family, Rugby was his passion to the end. You & Mary will always be together now. A pleasure to have known you. John Irwin & Family.

I will always remember my cousin Francis aged about 13yrs, doubling me on the crossbar of his bike on the footpath, up to the shops from his home in Pinfold Ave. Hamilton ...... those were the good old days when we had not a care in the world aye Francee (as I called him) -...... my mother, Beryl had a soft spot for him and Mary and spent a lot of time with them at their shop by the hospital . Go well Francis, you will now be with your beloved Mary finally sending my condolences to Lisa and Dean.
