Frances RISHWORTH Obituary

RISHWORTH, Frances Eileen (Eileen). Peacefully, at Northbridge Rest Home, on 10 January, 2025, in her 98th year. Loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Harry and Judith; loved auntie of Andrew and Shona, and Rebecca and Greg; loved cousin of John and Rosemary. Special thanks to the staff at Northbridge for their loving care of Eileen for the last three and a half years. A service for Eileen will be held at 2.30pm on Friday 17 January at Romaleigh, 31 Ocean View Road, Northcote.

Eileen is my second cousin and my family, Colette, Aisling and Taryn and I were sad to just hear of her passing. Condolences to the entire Rishworth family. She was my mothers (Janet Dixon) cousin and she last visited my family in Atlanta in 1997 after her trip to the Opera in NYC. She loved the Opera and we will miss her.

To dear Aunty Eileen
We came to visit you today only to find that you are no longer with us. Thank you for all the wonderful memories that I have of you. Your love for travel and the opera has always inspired me. I will hold dear the memories that I have of all the shows that we went to together when I was at school. Rest in peace Aunty Eileen. With all my love Amanda x

Condolences to the family from Beverley Murray (nee Barnes) who trained with Eileen in Dunedin, travelled around Europe together in their old London Taxi in 1956 and remained friends in Northcote and beyond.
