Kia ora Russell, I was saddened to hear that dear Fiona had passed away. My very deepest condolences to you and the boys. My time working with Fiona in the late 1980s was the highlight of my short journalism career. She was a great colleague, friend and comrade. I loved her wit and sense of humour, always on hand to brighten up any day. Arohanui, Rossx

So sad to hear of Fiona´s passing. I worked with her from 1992-97 when I left the Listener to have my first child and I´ll always remember the bags of baby clothes she passed on to me which were so helpful as a first time parent. Fiona was an astute writer and a great colleague. Rest in Peace Fiona and love to Russell, James and Leo.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Fiona's death.
I always enjoyed her writing, her wry sense of humour, and her way of dealing with life´s difficulties.

I was saddened to hear of Fiona's passing. We worked together at The Listener magazine in the early 1990s-she was a sub-editor, and I was a magazine designer. Though I didn't know her well, I remember her professionalism and dedication. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.
