Fiona EVANS Obituary

EVANS, Fiona Louise. Passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by family on Monday, 23 December 2024 at St Andrew's Village in Glendowie. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Brent. Treasured mother of Sarah and Georgia and mother-in-law of Ryan, all of Auckland. Daughter of Kelvin and Rosanne Downs and cherished by her brothers Justin and Mathew and sisters-in-law, Catherine, Simone, Steve and Jo Gracie and Sharon Thomas. Loving Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr Graeme Kidd and all the wonderful team at St Andrew's Village in Glendowie. Despite the challenges she encountered, Fiona was a true inspiration, demonstrating remarkable strength and courage. A celebration of Fiona's beautiful life will be held at Purewa All Saints Chapel, 100/102 St Johns Roads, Meadowbank, on Thursday 16 January 2025 at 12.00 noon. Aroha Funerals 09 5270266.

Brent, Sarah and Georgia. Fiona and I were friends at Meadowbank Primary and during that time I found her a caring and fun person who was very proud of her family. The past years were clearly very challenging for her and for you as her family. Her passing is very sad for all of us and my thoughts are with you at this time.

We were saddened to hear the news of Fiona's passing. Although we were aware of her illness and the ultimate outcome, there is much heartache when the event occurs. Our condolences to Brent and children, Kelvin and Roseanne, Justine and Catherine and Matthew. We are still living on the Kapiti Coast, and today 31 December is Ruthann's 80th, so the family are all here and we have a lunch at the bowling club. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
