Fergus HUME Obituary

HUME, Fergus Allan (Rev) On 20 May 2015, passed peacefully at Hodgson House, aged 102 years. Most dearly husband of the late Anne, father of the late Elizabeth and William; Julia and Wendel, and Paul. Grandpapa of Bennion, the late Simon, Gabriel and Tamasin, Magdalen and Georgia, Tom and Ravi, great grandpapa of Gabriel, Annabelle, Elizabeth and Jay. A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Fergus, will be held at St Columba Presbyterian Church, 502 Otumoetai Road Tauranga, on Monday 25 May at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation. Communication to the Hume Family c/o P.O. Box 3136 Greerton, Tauranga 3142.

25th May 1968 Fergus Hume married Russell & myself. Fergus was always a good mentor, a friend and had a quick wit. Truly an man who will always be well remembered. Gone to be with his beloved wife and daughter. Safely home to his prepared place in Heaven.

Fergus and Anne became our daughters adopted grandparents when we first came to N.Z.in 1980's They both hold a special place in our hearts and as my daughter said last night, provided them with some of their most precious childhood memories. The secret cupboard, sixpence in the Christmas pudding and the playground next door. Thanks for being there for us all. Rest in peace Fergus The Nesham Family
