Faye GIBSON Obituary

GIBSON, Faye Dorothy Moncrieff (Faye) (nee Wright). Passed away on June 18, 2019 peacefully at Franklin Memorial Hospital aged 81 years. Dearly loved wife of Norman Gibson for 59 years. Loved mother of Leigh, Janne and Alan and loved mother-in-law to David and Kiyomi. Special Nana Faye to Paul, Chelsea, Laura, Jessica, Zoe and Connor. Loved sister of Jocelyn and sister-in-law to Ken. At the family's request Faye's life was celebrated at a memorial afternoon tea in the family home after a private cremation.

Dear Norman and family, and Jocelyn

I am indeed saddened to read that my dearest friend Faye is no longer here. Faye and I formed a close bond from our high school days at Wanganui Girls'College, and we maintained this friendship for all time. Indeed we were part of the "fab four" team at the time. Years and distance apart eventually separated us, but the friendship never wavered. Even though I realised that Faye had health issues over the years, nevertheless her demise came as a unexpected shock. I valued her friendship and will miss her. Rest in peace Faye.
