Ewin SKUDDER Obituary

I am sitting in Whangaroa Harbour looking at a photograph of the Ellerslie Senior Colts team 1955 which hangs on my office wall above my computor.

Those were the days when we were all young kids playing great football and established a World Record that has never been beaten.
In 1955 we played 16 games and won them all scoring a total of 870 points and only had 8 scored against us.

I stayed on playing with the same team of great guys until 1960 when I got badly injured in a football match at Carlaw Park and had to give the game away and therefore lost touch with the whole team as I then went sailing. My condolences to Ewen's (Jim's) family. Sorry I won't be able to make the funeral but I will be having a drink to his old photograph and saying Farewell tomorrow to a great guy.
