CHRISTIE, Ewen Maxwell. passed away peacefully at 99. On 21 December 2023. Dearly loved husband and confidante of Ailsa for 69 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Philly and Garth, Alasdair and Madeleine, Ginny and Mark, and Fiona and David. Loved Koro grandpa of Alex, Sally, Mac and Phoebe, Lucy, and Max and Bex. As he wished Ewen has been cremated and a service to remember him will be held at the Chapel at Parkside Village, 42 Herd Road Hillsborough at 2:00 pm tomorrow Saturday 23 December.

Fond memories from Rotorua in the 80's of both Ewen & Ailsa. A fellow member of the Rotary Club of Rotorua Lakes and we both worked and shared a professional interest in the city. Ewen, small in stature but of a dry whit and sense of humour. Ailsa, well known for her expertise in Global Gift House & Steiner Interiors. A grand age-rest in peace.
