Evelyn Townsend Obituary

Evelyn Van Dyk Ferris Townsend, 96, of Brookeville, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday March 8th, 2011 in Sandy Spring, Maryland due to complications of pneumonia. Mrs. Townsend, a teacher and a painter, is survived by her children: Barton and Susan Ferris of New York City, New York, and Drs. Warren and Renee Ferris of Brookeville, Maryland; and by her stepsons: Jack Townsend of Skokie, Illinois and Thomas Townsend of Indianapolis, Indiana and their families. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Juliana Ferris of Woodstock, New York, Jeffrey and Laurie Ferris of New York City, New York, Nathaniel and Patricia Ferris of Charleston, South Carolina, Matthew and Luke Ferris of Brookeville, Maryland and by eleven nephews and nieces and their families. A memorial service will be planned for later in the spring.
