Evelyn Nevin Obituary

Evelyn Louise Nevin, 67, of Allegheny Township, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at her home.

Born April 11, 1938, in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of Ben and Neva Jane (Hetzler) Pierce, she lived in Allegheny Township for the past 37 years, and before that, in Ohio.

A homemaker, she was involved with local Girl Scout Troops and enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, quilting, gardening and fishing.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy J. (David) Nale of Apollo, and Cynthia R. (Michael) Hunchar of Cheswick; a son, Phillip G. Nevin of Allegheny Township; brothers, Thomas (Cheryl) Pierce of Union City, Ohio, and Jerry Pierce of St. Louis, Mich.; a sister, Janet Pierce of Piqua, Ohio; five grandchildren; and an aunt, Martha Delk of Piqua, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene P. Nevin in 2001; a daughter, Cathy L. Bertram in 2005; and a grandson, Eric Bertram.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, where services will br at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
