ALGAR, Eunice Millicent. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 3 May 2023, at Pohlen Hospital, Matamata. Aged 93. Loved wife of the late Neil. Mother of Helen, Diana, Michael, and the late Tony. Grandmother of Nicholas, Rebecca, and Brittany. Great Grandmother of Matty and his new sister, who's due in a couple of months. A celebration of Eunice's life will be held at 11am, Tuesday, 9 May, at the All Saints Anglican Church, cnr Broadway & Hohaia St, Matamata.The service will be livestreamed, please refer to www. watersonsfuneralservices.co. nz for details. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pohlen Foundation Trust would be appreciated and may be left at the service. All communications to the Algar family c/- 6 Tamihana St, Matamata.

Eunice was a very special person who was always busy working in the community and especially in the church . I shared many happy years on Vestry with Eunice . Our condolences and prayers are with the family today as they give thanks for her life . Lyn and keith Walker

Owen & Margaret Westlake have special memories of a lovely friend who shared many aspects of her life & that of husband Neil. Owen was a councilor while Neil was mayor, & I have vestry memories of a very busy person working hard with diocesan affairs. Both were very busy & respected people in the community they served so well. Sorry we cant attend Eunice's funeral as we will be in Southland, but will be praying for your family at the time of the funeral. Please accept our sympathies Helen, Dianna, & Michel.
