Esther PICARD Obituary

Dear Leonie, I have just heard of your passing. This makes me very sad. I also hear you had a private service. This does not surprise me, it definitely reflects you and your wishes.

You hired my husband for the 1997 MMR campaign whilst he was a stay at home dad.

You gave me my start at the DHB, initially with the Public Health Nurses and then moving on to CAMHS.

You were an amazing leader and had the ability to grow great leaders. You had no hesitation in getting your hands dirty and thinking outside the box when needed for the betterment of the kids and the community we were serving.

Your catering skills were on point. And I thank you for allowing Andy and I to do the cooking for Disa´s wedding with your direction of course.

I still refer back to your teachings as my boss on a regular basis and I try to channel my inner Leonie often.

I am going to miss catching up with you every year at the Awhitu School auction.

Tony, my thoughts and condolences are with you and all of the family. Leonie will leave a massive hole in all of your lives. She will also leave lots of wonderful memories.

Rest In Peace wonderful lady, you had a big impact on my life and you will be missed. Say hi to Doni for me xoxo
