A wonderful grandfather and great grandfather to my kids. Feeling blessed to have spent quality time with him over his life-time. Lots of love to Jan and family and others he may have left behind. Will be sadly missed

Dear Ernest, a wonderful gentleman and friend. I will miss my visits to him and exchanging some great stories and his wonderful smile and his calming voice. I am .so glad he was able to live a long and happy life after all he went through during the war. . My thoughts are with his HUGE family at this time who were so lucky to have him as a father for so many years. His memory will live on through his interviews and photos. We will remember him often and my memories of him will always bring a smile to my face . Farewell dear Ernest,we will meet again!

Ernest was my fathers cousin. We corresponded regularly for 20 years doing our family history.
He was a fine man and very knowledgeable about so many things. He will be missed by everyone.
