Dearest Neil
I'm heartbroken reading that you have passed.
A much respected friend and confidante for decades, your advice, humour and empathy have been sun drops in my life during troubled times and smooth, always ready with a hot cup of tea and a cake, dressed so smartly and grinning the way only you could. Your sense of humour sharp as a tack as was your wit.
Past President of the Canterbury Pilgrims and Early Settlers' Association; a lover of Canterbury history, retaining and sharing the stories that we both found so important to pass on and to preserve.
You have been a constant and will not be forgotten. Rest with those ancestors you researched - you can now gather stories from the horses mouth!
Condolences to Neil's family.
