VALERIE HUGHES
Yesterday
I have memories of school days at Mangakino.. working together in the Post Office,.. You helping my Dad showing the Sunday pictures... even as a young lad you were full of good humour, quick wit, fun and laughter. You will be greatly missed by your family and your brother Neil. Rest in peace Eric you brought a lot of people happiness and laughter during your life ... Valerie Hughes (nee Graham)

Eric, we knew you for less than a year in Asto Court but you made a huge impression on us with your wit and effervescence. You were a lovely gentleman and will be truly missed.

I had a pleasure of being a coffee mate of Eric´s at the Local Cafe in Remuera. As time went on we became good friends & would regularly meet for an early weekday breakfast or weekend brunch.
Eric was a true gentlemen, always ready with a good yarn and a cheeky one liner.
I´m going to miss our chats and the laughs we shared.
Rest in peace my friend.
