Eric SCHOLES Obituary

SCHOLES, Eric William. On 28 April 2023, at Palmerston North Hospital, aged 90, formerly from Tauranga and Ngakuru. Dearly loved husband of the late Ileene, loved father and father-in-law of Cynthia and Mark Ward (Levin), Sonia and Craig Munro (Flat Bush Manukau). Loved granddad of Alex, Sophie, Otto, Benjamin and Nathanael. Loved brother-in-law of Elinor Elder, the late Winnie Ingram, Doreen Jenkins, and Patty Clow. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Eric's caregivers in Feilding for their friendship and devotion to his needs over a number of years. A service to celebrate Eric's life, will be held at the Legacy Funerals Chapel, 383 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga, at 10.30am Saturday 6 May, followed by refreshments and burial. Eric, you were one of my first clients when I started with Healthcare NZ. You made me feel welcomed in your home and we always had a good chat each morning, and you loved sharing your life stories and talked about your family with so much love I have missed you since I left for Australia and I hope you are now reunited with your wife. Your passing has made me realise I need to get myself back into community support work. Condolences to Sonya and Cynthia plus your children

Eric touched our lives briefly as a customer at our Dairy in Feilding. A regular for his weetbix, milk and bar of chocolate. Always polite and cheerful zipping around on his scooter. Our family send our love and condolences to his.
