Eric MUNRO Obituary

MUNRO, Eric Ramon Passed away peacefully at CHT Waiuku 27 May, aged 87 years. Much loved husband of Ruth, father of Louise, Glenn (deceased) and Garnett, grandfather of Grant, Leigh, Jacquelyn and Hilary, father-in-law to Diana and Vicki. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Thanks to the kind & professional care of staff at CHT Waiuku (You deserve a medal!). A service will be held at 1.00pm, Wednesday 1st June at St Andrews Church, 85 Queen Street, Waiuku. Private interment 2nd June. Correspondence to PO Box 152, Greenhithe, Auckland

Sad to hear of the loss of a family friend who lived in Gisborne when we were there, then was a neighbour along the street when we lived in Christchurch and moved to Auckland around the same time as us.
I caught up with Eric and Ruth in the passed few years, Eric was a rugby referee with my father in Gisborne and refereed matches when I played in Christchurch.
