Eric MALLARD Obituary

MALLARD, Eric Richard. Passed away peacefully at Edmund Hillary Retirement Village on 20 March 2025, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Peggy for 50 years and eldest son of the late Dennis and Eric. A much-loved brother and brother-in-law to John and Lesley, Errol and Gail, Yvonne and Bob, Denise (late) and Ivan, Anthony and Marion, and Christopher and Nina. Cherished uncle to Stephen and Angela, Erica and David, Christiane and Robert, Antony, Olivia and Luke, and Amanda and Leon. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hospital 2, Edmund Hillary Retirement Village, for their compassionate care. Rest in peace. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 16 Brenton Place, Orakei, Auckland, at 12 noon on Thursday, 27 March 2025. Interment at Mangere Lawn Cemetery will be on Friday, 28 March at 1pm, 85 McKenzie Road, Mangere. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation, Eric was a supporter of the NZ Neurological Foundation. Rosary will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church on Wednesday, 26 March, at 6:00pm.
