Eric BETTRIDGE Obituary

It is with great sadness to hear of Eric's passing .It has been a privilege to have known Eric for all the years in Camp Quality Auckland /Northland.
Eric was an inspiration to us all our Northland representatives, the support Eric gave to the young children of Northland to support them in there junior years was his gift to them all.
The enjoyment of having Eric on Camp, the ,management team was wonderful the talks and laughter I will always remember. I would like to thank his family for sharing this special man with us my thoughts go to you all at this sad time.

Great memories of Uncle Eric and Dad Ron, loading up the converted Ambulance and trailer of they'd go to Whenaupai . This was a regular rotation leaving mum to hold the fort. This continued for 27years.
RIP all together now.

Well My Uncle Eric ( "Unk Ek" ) was a Great person, Loved Auntie Beverly to the Fullest, was a Wonderful Father to Brian, Kelvin & Raewyn. He cared for his many Nephews & Nieces & shared experiences with them freely.
My Best memory of my "Unk Ek" was while I was doing my Apprenticeship in Plumbing at Chadwicks in Papakura. A contractor rang and wondered if we had men to help them out, as their Plumber had quit his contract. As it happened my Tradesman Jerry Weeks and I had just came back to the workshop after finishing a new house, so next day we were dispatched to Papatoetoe to see what was wanted and to my utter surprise the Head Foreman who greeted us was "Uncle Eric" whom I was so Proud to introduce to Jerry as my Favorite Uncle. My Chest was Pumped out & I was so Happy. We always had a Special connection in Life. Rest in Peace "My Unk Ek" May God Bless you.
