June 6, 2015
Hodge whanau send their condolence to Kiel Whanau.Bully was a great man.Now Bully can share all his stories with Charles Hodge,as he never got to finish his stories about hunting. They can talk to the cows come home, oopz the wild pigs come home. One thing that touched my heart with Bully, was when I brought a horse off him, can't remember what the horses name was,but anyway.Bully said get on him girl,so I did but backwards(jokingly I did),well Bully's answer was, never seen a grown lady hop on a horse backwards,so if you want him, ride him forwards, funny.Bully said looks like this horse is meant for you,but watch out can be unpredictable.I called the horse Flint and he was possesive, but after having him for a few years,he became unpredictable. So to Dawn, their beautifull Tamariki's,inlaws, moko'sgreat grand moko's,Kiel whanau Kia Kaha. From Charles(dec),Tammy,Theresa,Charles jnr,Lance Hodge,Julian snr,Duane,Julian jnr,Haiden,Aaria Fraser.

I have a preciously funny recollection of Bully one day driving around Rotorua in a Datsun. The rear seat had been removed clearing enough space for his miniature horse, which was seated in the back of the car with it's head out the window! I'm sure I wasn't the only one who had a double-take at the sight; in fact I seem to recall a picture depicting same on the front page of the Daily Post! Rest in peace dear man.
