Enid NIMMO Obituary

NIMMO, Enid Eris (Eris) (nee McGrail). Born in Wanganui 11 January 1926. Quietly slipped away Monday 2 February 2026 aged 100 years. Much loved wife of her dearest Jim (deceased 1989). Greatest cheer leader for Reg, and Rachael. Loved Mother-in-law of Shona, and David. Proud Grandmother of James, Craig, Kelda, and Dave. Great Grandmother of Alia, Cooper, Greer; John, Isla, Archer; Sophie, and Connor. She was fiercely independent, determined, and resourceful. She met life's challenges full on and was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. She had a great store of knowledge and wisdom we all benefitted from. Thanks to the caring staff at New Vista. Reunited with Jim, faithful to the end. The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. A Farewell Service for Eris will held at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Glasgow Street, Wanganui at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday 7 February 2026 to be followed by interment in the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery. Eris's Service can be viewed online at www. dempseyandforrest.co.nz Watch Services Online.

Reg and Rachael I am sorry to read of your Mum's passing.
She was a beautiful woman.
I remember her being absolutely delighted to see me on an aircraft in 1980 when I was returning from 2 years overseas.
Memories of St David's, Aramoho School and Dad's time at the Pylon Dairy.
Unfortunately, I am unable to attend her funeral tomorrow.
God bless you all
