Enid BULL Obituary

BULL, Enid Lovelace. Former nurse and housemistress, passed away peacefully in Auckland on 20 October 2024, aged 88. Daughter of Max and Susie Bull, sister of Trewby, Pat and Frank, sister-in-law of Chris and Rosie. Much-loved aunt, great-aunt, godmother and cousin. Funeral 2 pm Tuesday 29 October at St Aidan's, Remuera. For details of livestream see Davis Funerals. Messages to [email protected].

We were very fortunate to have Miss Bull as our house mistress. She was well liked and respected by us all. Being a housemistress or master is not an easy job and it´s rare to find someone with the exact qualities that make it possible to run the house, look after the girls and be respected, Miss Bull had these qualities, she was kind, calm, fair, patient and extremely tolerant. And she had a good sense of humour. Thank you for being you Miss Bull. Yr 1983 to 1987 Elgin house boarders.

Miss Bull was an amazing house mistress - she tolerated so much from our third form boarding crew and we will always have fond memories of her dealing so patiently with our naughtiness - she shaped up !
