Gertrude Waipouri Memoriam
WAIPOURI, Gertrude Apikaira (Penny). In loving memory of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Nanna Boom Boom, who passed away 1 year ago today, December 03, 2009. A year ago today Nan You left our lives and our presence To go and join our Papa In that place they call "Heaven". "Life must go on!" we have said The roads we've travelled have been tough But the memories we have of you Nan Silently make us cry or laugh. Your lovingness and tenderness Is something we'll never forget For you Nan, are our Inspiration That make us forge ahead. Your smile and your words of wisdom Are only a few things we keep at heart For deep down inside we know We will never be apart. We'll join you and Papa one day To reunite us once again So the reality of that happening Is a walk down memory lane. We miss you so much Nan That words cannot describe The pain that we endure each day We feel deep down inside. You're never far from our memories Nan And even closer to our hearts For your teachings and your aroha Have taught us never to stray apart. We wish that you were here with us To watch our Whanau grow It's getting bigger every day Nan We're losing count you oughtta know. You're that Ray of Light that shines upon us Each and every day And that Big Bright Star we look up to at night As we bow our heads to pray. You take care now Nan You and Papa way up there For the pain and sorrow we've felt this past year We will always shed a tear. We love you Nan and always will You're our Angel through and through So till we meet again some day God Bless, Sweet Dreams and Kisses for Papa too.....
