BELCHAMBERS, Elwin Edward (Eddie). On November 8, 2016. Dearly loved and loving husband of Christine. Much loved father and father in law of Paul and Becs, Damon and Amber, Sarah and Aaron. Loved grandad of Ella, Noah, Leah; Jack and Henry. Loved brother of Joy, Mary (Deceased), and Ian all of England. Many thanks to the staff of Hospice Wanganui, and Medical Ward. Thanks to Rehi for all the love and support. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Wanganui would be greatly appreciated and may be left in the Chapel Foyer or posted to P.O. Box 4284, Wanganui. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Eddie's life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel 208 Guyton Street, Wanganui on Tuesday November 15, 2016 at 1.30pm to be followed by a private cremation. Hi Christine. I only heard of Eddie's passing late yesterday. I was going to come to the funeral but current events including earthquake, weather & other commitments persuaded me not to.

Nonetheless I simply wanted to say that I was not only surprised, but saddened by EEB's passing, and mindful of his somewhat sudden deterioration. Eddie & I were together for 10 years or so & in that time he became a huge (& positive) influence on my life. I have a lot to thank Eddie for & I regret not being able to be present during his final farewell. I know that this will be something of a challenge for you & your wider family & all I can say is that I wish you all well for the future. I was a little surprised to discover that your family base has remained in Wanganui as I assumed (incorrectly as it turns out) that you had migrated to Auckland.
Anyway a sincere wish for the best to you all & I, presumably like the rest of you, will miss Eddie's presence, company, & example during the remarkable time that I knew him.
