SERGEJEW, Elvira Maria. Lived 22 Jul 1931 - 15 Aug 2025. Passed away peacefully at the Murray Halberg Retirement Village, Auckland. Daughter of the late Alexei and Anna Sokolov. Beloved widow of Anatole Timothy Sergejew. Treasured Mum to Alex (predeceased) (Olya), Eugene (Valerie), Anatol (Astrid), and Ann (Con). Loved Sister of John (predeceased) (Ellen) and Aunt of Michael (Julie). Cherished Babusia of Sara, Alexandra, Anastasia, Dimitry, Ksenia (Dan), Nicholas and Kristina, and Great Babusia of Jacinda, James and Manu. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her inner strength, determination, and strong devotion to her faith. Her funeral will be held on Monday, 25 August. Requiem mass, led by Fr. Sam Pulanco, starts at 11am at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 317 Hillsborough Road, followed by a gathering in the church hall to celebrate Elvira's life (with refreshments) and internment at Waikumete Cemetery. The family wish to thank the staff at the Murray Halberg Rest Home for the wonderful care they provided to Mum since 2021.
