Elsie THOMPSON Obituary

THOMPSON, Elsie Ella. On Monday November 26,2012 Elsie passed away peacefully at Lansdowne Hospital - aged 86 years. Loved wife and mate of the late Jim, cherished and loving Mum of Bruce (Onewhero), Irene and Martin Braddick (Mission Beach) and Anne and Ross Kirkbride (Auckland). Treasured Grandma of Alisha and Jonathan; Jarrod and Danielle and Terena; Linden and Iesoa, and Ryan and Soraya. Great Grandma of Katherine and Blair. A special aunty to David, Diane and family. A service to celebrate Elsie's life will be held at Grahams Funeral Home Chapel, West Street, Tuakau on Friday, November 30 at 11 am. Elsie will be buried with Jim at the Pukekohe RSA Cemetery following a cup of tea. Our deepest appreciation goes to the staff at Lansdowne Hospital and Gulf Views Rest Home for the care and compassion shown to Elsie and all of her family. Cut flowers only or if preferred a donation may be left at the service for Parkinsons Auckland, PO Box 16238, Sandringham, Auckland. THOMPSON, Elsie Ella. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put his arms around you And whispered come to me With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you pass away And although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay A golden heart stopped beating Hardworking hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Our Grandma, such a special person in our lives. Treasured memories. Now at peace. Gone but not forgotten. We love you. Love Linden and Ryan.

THOMPSON, Elsie Ella. Thank you for being such a caring and generous Mum. Your strength and hard work will always be admired. You had many changes in your life over the last few years, thank you for allowing me to walk beside and support you during this difficult time. I am so lucky to be able to call such a generous, loyal and caring person my Mum. Love always Anne and Ross, Linden and Iesoa and Ryan and Soraya. Friend to Andrew and Rachael and Great Grandma to Jacob and Miliana. If you have a mother treasure her with care, for you will not know her value till you see her empty chair.

THOMPSON, Elsie Ella. Finally at peace. Thank you Mum for all you did for all of us through the years. For being a wonderful Mum, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. We will miss your baking, knitting and sewing but probably not your pickled onions. Give our Love and a hug to Dad. We love you and will miss you heaps.
