Elsie was a beautiful woman who touched my life personally for a number of years while i was living in Batkin Road. I remember coming home from a cuppa with a lovely bunch of flowers after having a tour of the garden. That gave me inspiration for my own garden. Along with Jack who took me sailing when the American submarine was in the Waitemata harbour and protests were happening. And of course my first connect with Roberta when we were flatting in Oslow Rd in the early '80's. I feel blessed with the family connection that is carried on through Ivan and family being long time friends with Howard Esler. Best wishes to you all today, lots of love Jennifer
