Elsa MCKENZIE Obituary

MCKENZIE, Elsa (nee Watson). on 6 January 2013, peacefully in hospital after a short illness, aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late John. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Laurence, and Beverly (London), Jeremy and Gerda (Auckland). Much loved grandmother of Alex, Evan and Lauren (London). Loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Audrey and Michael O'Carroll (Dunedin), Leone and Doug Grey (Timaru), Rex and Joan Watson (Invercargill). Cherished friend and valued member of the NZ School Dental Nursing community. Special thanks to all of the staff at Caughey Preston Hospital in Remuera who showed outstanding compassion for Elsa and her immediate family in the final very difficult weeks. Because of the timing and with many family and friends being overseas, a brief closure service will be held this weekend for close family only. A memorial service to celebrate Elsa's very full life will be held in March (date to be confirmed) and to this all her very many friends and relatives are invited to attend.
