Ella JOHNSON Obituary

Ella was my godmother and we visited her in Auckland in February, 2017. We spent several weeks in New Zealand this past year and we were both delighted to share tea, served by her lovely friend Phyliss, with Ella. We found Ella to be all that we had hoped--bright, friendly, and willing to share her memories of my christening, my parents, and of her early trip to New Zealand, travelling all by herself from St. John's, Newfoundland. I have wonderful memories of the afternoon we spent together and hopefully it brought back good memories of her Newfoundland friends and relatives to her. Rest in peace, Ella.

I am thankful for having the privilege of getting to know Ella well recently. A lovely caring person, with a strong character. My sincerest sympathy to all her family. love Dilys Davies She will be missed by all her church family a Te Atatu Union Parish.

Aunt Ella is the last of her generation to pass on. She will be greatly missed by all her know her.

Our family is thankful for the life of our Aunt Ella. Being so far away, we are unable to be there for her funeral. Aunt Ella had a number of nieces and nephews here who loved here dearly. We are very thankful for her Church family and friends, especially Phyllis Cowan and family, who cared for and supported her. She often talked to us about them. Aunt Ella and her family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

So sad to hear of Ella's passing. Our prayers are with her.

I have fond and loving memories of our telephone chats. Aunt Ella was such a bright,kind and lovely person and so interested in her nieces and nephews here in Canada. She will be missed. An end of an era in our family.

sorry to hear of Ella passing at 94. I only meet Ella when came for a visit back late 1980s she looked like my dad. we have some old family photos when they were young.
