WRIGHT, Elizabeth Ann. Elizabeth died peacefully with family present on Wednesday 20 August 2025, after some years of journeying courageously with health challenges aplenty. Elizabeth was in her 83rd year. Loved daughter of Hugh and Gwen Wright. Loyal and loving sister to her brothers Hugh, John (both deceased), and David. Greatly loved and respected wife and partner of Eric Allan. Loved sister-in-law of Lesley, Rosie (deceased), Angela, Peter and Susan, Pamela and Ian, David and Carolyn, and Kevin and Jane. Elizabeth loved and was loved and respected by her many nieces and nephews and her many great nieces and nephews. She also loved and was loved by her wider family and her valued friends of various generations. Elizabeth was a person of character, integrity, intelligence, and loyalty. She was greatly concerned for justice and fairness in our communities. In lieu of flowers donations to Medecins Sans Frontieres www.msf.org.nz would be appreciated. Thanks to the team at Elizabeth Knox for their care. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Michael's Catholic Church, 6 Beatrice Road, Remuera on Friday 29th August at 10am, followed by a family burial at Purewa. Deepest sympathy to Eric & extended family. Elizabeth was a childhood friend growing up opposite us, &attending Baradene together.
